We are delighted to announce that, with a new team and new funds, Getaway Earth is about to embark on the next chapter of growth. Having successfully secured both additional investment, and new partners with extensive experience in the travel and holiday rentals sectors, we are excited about the future. Although the site is currently closed to new members, you can still register your interest and we will contact you once we reopen.
Working Smarter
We started Getaway Earth two years ago, eager and fresh faced, ready to take the industry by storm. It didn’t quite work out that way! BUT… the two years have allowed us to test ideas, listen to owners and renters, and recognise our weaknesses. We now understand what really matters in building a successful holiday rentals website. As such our new (coming soon) website will focus on being more user friendly, easier to navigate, and backed by a real and active search engine optimisation strategy.
Promoting Quality, Relegating Mediocrity
Alongside the above user interface and search engine optimisation work, we will be assigning each and every holiday rental listed with us a property-specific rating. This rating will be part algorithm and part human being. It will promote the good, and relegate the ordinary, making the holidaymakers job of choosing the right holiday accommodation easier.
Our Guiding Principles
In rolling out the new look site and features, our two guiding principles are:
1. To give holidaymakers a powerful platform to seek, review and book the very best holiday rentals directly from the owner; and
2. To ensure that property owners, who are prepared to invest time in presenting themselves and their property in detail, enjoy the clear benefits of working with an increasingly powerful distribution network.
