Your cabin at River Trail is 1400 square feet of completely modern living space which includes a well supplied kitchen, three large bedrooms and two full baths, one each on the upper and lower levels.
Huge picture windows frame a large pond just yards from your door. Keep an eye out for passing wildlife. Beaver, Canada geese, deer and more have been frequently spotted from the deck. Guests have even reported seeing moose grazing in the pond early in the morning.
The long slope of the wheel-chair ramp provides easy access to the upper level. From the deck you will enter the main living area. You can create your own meals in our well equipped, fully modern kitchen using the stainless steel cookware provided. Also provided are toaster, coffee maker, grill, micro-wave oven, all dishes and towels. There are also a wheelchair accessible full bath and large bedroom containing a double and a single bed. All towels and bedding are also provided.
The bad news for some is that this is a non-smoking facility so those who indulge must do so outdoors. Smoking is allowed in the unattached bunkhouse so for a small fee it can be heated in winter so that smokers can do their thing in reasonable comfort.
Downstairs are two bedrooms, each containing two twin beds. A full bath with stand-up shower and washer/dryer can also be found there along with a large living area with two hide-a-beds, TV with two local channels and VCR with a selection of movies. There is also ground level access to a small patio at the front of the cabin.
For larger groups, there is a small bedroom cabin located at the rear of the main cabin. It has two sets of bunk-beds but you must use the washroom facilities in the main cabin since this cabin is not plumbed.
