Postira is a small picturesque fishing town 7 kilometres from the ferry port of Supetar. There are several pebble beaches with warm clear, and usually calm sea.
A coastal walk through the pine woods will take you to the horseshoe shaped bay of Lovrecina with sandy shallow waters.
In Postira there are local shops and markets with a good range of locally grown fruit and veg, and also a fish market.
Wine and Prosjek can be bought at any number of house, just look for the ‘vina’ sign.
There are good restaurants to suit all budgets, and pavement cafes along the harbour front that stay open until late in the evening.
Boat trips, fish picnics etc can be arranged locally. Scooter and bicycle hire are available, and an ideal way to explore the Island. There are many places to visit from the very old settlements of Skrip and Dol to the lively Bol on the far side of the Island.
If you really run out of places to go and that is very unlikely, take the ferry over to Split which has everything from chic shops to street markets.
It is also possible to visit other Islands, but you will enjoy your time on Brac so much that a week just is not long enough !
