The house has all modern facilities, despite being situated in the heart of the Normandy countryside. The lounge/kitchen is spacious, with beamed ceiling and real oak parquet flooring. The room is purpose designed and does not, unlike many gites, have to double as a sleeping area. So it is possible to watch television when others have gone to bed. There is both French television (useful for watching the weather forecast!) and many English channels (via satellite). In addition there is a DVD for your use.
The windows are double glazed, with shutters for use if you like a dark bedroom! There are electric heating convectors (wall mounted, with heat level thermostats) for the cold seasons.
There is one bedroom downstairs, with a shower room/toilet adjacent. The shower, however, is not recommended for those who are disabled or obese, as the base is raised and the access doors are standard width. There is a feature spiral staircase leading from that bedroom to another upstairs, which is especially light and spacious. There you will find a sound centre for your audio cassettes or CDs.
If greater privacy is required, there is a third double bedroom in the room above the lounge, which is accessed via an open tread straight staircase. There is a bathroom/toilet adjacent.
Special note for those with young children: Please bring your own child safety gates, as these are not supplied. It is a condition of booking that you accept full responsibility for your child's/children's safety.
There are stunning countryside views from the property. The views from the upstairs windows are especially memorable and often commented upon by people staying here. There is a very large garden to the front of the house, which is for your exclusive use.
